What should couples keep in mind during the wedding planning?
It’s a must to budget in a coordinator for the day of your wedding as it will take so much pressure off. You won’t regret it!

What would you love every couple to know about what you do?
Couples are keen to cut costs by DIYing their own setup, but it’s hard work and not what you should be doing the day before your wedding or the morning of. People often have a visual that we walk around in heels fluffing flowers like in the movies. Instead, it’s the complete opposite! We’re up ladders, hammering in star picks, carting bags of ice to the bar, lifting heavy furniture…we’re basically glorified removalists! We have also worked at a lot of venues before, so we have an eye and experience for layout which is pretty invaluable.

What are couples often surprised to learn?
That we have a massive hire range! Our couples love that we have collected so many gorgeous props and furniture over time and it’s such a nice add on for us to be able to offer. This also means we can bring along our hire items when setting up, which keeps things nice and simple.

What is one popular question you get?
“Help! I don’t know how to make a run sheet?” As part of our coordination packages we offer complimentary run sheet compilation, meaning we will put together a wedding day timeline and then email this to suppliers to confirm everything. Winning!

What do your couples say they love most about what you do?
That we take the stress out of the planning for them. Knowing that someone has your back and will ensure nothing is overlooked or forgotten is worth its weight in gold for peace of mind!

How do you create a great experience?
We pride ourselves on prompt email service and our couples often comment how nice it is that we respond so quickly and offer helpful advice – I love hearing that! On the day we bring a calm, professional and organised approach to working with your venue, vendors and lovely family and friends.

What are some wedding ideas you love?
I love the grazing boards with piles of antipasto! They’re perfect for that pre-dinner drinks time. We also love seeing amazing overhead floral and greenery installations teamed with festoons and tonnes of candlelight to create a beautiful vibe for the reception.

What’s your best advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
1. Come up with your three non-negotiables that are super important to you as a couple. Keep referring back to these whenever making wedding planning decisions. Does it stick with your vision for the day? If not, scrap it!

2. Always have a backup or contingency plan so if little things go wrong, it’s not the end of the world! If you have an experienced wedding planner, they will predict all the worst cases that could happen and plan for them.

3. Allow extra time for everything. Couples always underestimate the time it takes to do things like moving guests from one place to another, taking group photos or giving speeches. If you allow a bit of extra time in your run sheet, you won’t feel like you’re chasing your tail all day!
