Amy and Mark’s wedding took place in an idyllic setting, where they celebrated in true country style, wandering the property during a relaxed photo session and relishing the time with their guests! Bridesmaids in rich burgundy, gorgeous florals and rustic reception space added beautiful detail to their day.

The Planning Experience

“I enjoyed picking my dress and meeting with all the suppliers – they nailed our vision! Less enjoyable? Sending invites and chasing up RSVP’s. Mark and I both agreed when planning the wedding that we wanted it to be a fun and entertaining day because that’s what we value most about each other – and I think we achieved that.”

The Dress Search

“I had originally chosen my dress before locking in a venue, and ended up changing it after booking Tocal Homestead to a more light weight and vintage looking gown. The staff at The Ivory Lounge were great and I definitely shed a few tears when I tried on my dress for the first time. I did have a little panic attack the week before the wedding, concerned that I had picked the wrong dress, but it all came together in the end.”

The Bridal Party

“Mark actually styled the groomsmen first and I had to match that! Lucky he has great taste!”

Most Important

“That all of our guests had FUN, enjoyed the food and atmosphere, and had an overall memorable experience. My favourite moments were reading and hearing our vows; Mark’s speech (it was so heartfelt and thoughtful); and getting ready for the day with my best friends.”

Wedding Styling

“We had the super talented Wedding Designers take charge of the whole thing, I didn’t have to lift a finger!”

Fabulous Food

Amy and Mark chose a two tiered, chocolate mud cake decorated with buttercream frosting and fresh florals. For their favours, they had small jars of popcorn with swing tags saying, “Thanks for popping by.”

Entertaining Guests

“We had live music playing throughout the ceremony and reception and were absolutely blown away by their talent. All the guests have since commented on how fantastic they were. They performed the perfect mix of old and new, and kept everyone dancing and singing all night.”
