Meet the Editors

Danielle & Kathy | The Wedding Playbook

Hey, Danielle here! (I’m the one on the left.) You’ll find me in my home office most days with peppermint tea in hand, publishing stories on the blog, sharing our latest finds on social media and designing our next magazine. Kathy’s more of a flat white connoisseur and keeps busy behind the scenes, writing and reviewing our features and scouting fabulous suppliers to recommend!

She also happens to be my mum and one of my closest friends. In our free time we’re often swapping recipes, soaking up the sunshine on scenic walks, plotting our next getaways, tending to our collection of African violets and trying to find any decent excuse to go out for high tea!

Our Favourite Love Story

Favourite Love Story | The Wedding Playbook

…begins on a train in the 1940′s. Dawn was lost in her thoughts when a young man in uniform seated across from her asked if she would go out with him. It was unusual for a stranger to approach a lady so boldly, so she politely declined (even though she thought him rather handsome). Not content with her reply, he threw one leg out of the window and declared if she couldn’t grant him a date, he would launch himself out of the moving train! She shook her head at his foolishness and reluctantly agreed…of course she wasn’t to know that he would soon be her husband, and we would someday be their family.
