After a romantic dinner during an overseas trip, Cody proposed to Cassie in front of a magical Dubai fountain. Their green and white modern garden wedding is beautiful and relaxed in equal measure, with a gorgeous venue all to themselves, stunning flowers, intimate outdoor dining and a S’mores bar to name but a few details!
The Planning Experience
“It was most important to us to ensure that our wedding portrayed who we are and what we love. Planning was hard at times, I was lucky to have my bridesmaids and very fortunate that Cody helped out a lot!”
Finding The One
“Bec from Grace Loves Lace eased me into comfort and I took her genuine advice on board, after having had a horrible experience at another bridal boutique. I put on the stunning white Alexandra dress and there could not have been a better dress for me.”
‘I Won’t Give Up’ by Jason Mraz – which we picked from early on in our relationship.
‘Fire & Flood’ by Vance Joy
‘Latch (live)’ by Sam Smith
‘Home’ by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
‘Magic’ and ‘Sky Full Of Stars’ by Coldplay
“After the ceremony we were taken down to the tennis court for photos, and for a few minutes we were left alone and we just starting dancing. A funny memory was of our dog Billy – he thought it would be a great idea to eat half of our wedding cake when no one was watching. The whole feeling of the day was just one of love and laughter…I think that is what we will remember most.”
“We had lawn games for in between the ceremony and reception which were a hit, and had an amazing musician, Lily Budisia, play for over seven hours – she is mesmerizing. We also twisted the bouquet toss idea by giving each single lady a key, where only one would open the lock on a glass case which had the bouquet locked inside.”
“We purchased a lot from Etsy and hand made a lot of things. Our main goal was to have an outdoor ceremony and reception with a lot of greenery throughout and touches of rose gold.”

1. Pay the extra for a good photographer and videographer that cover everything. We could not be any happier with the work ours both did – capturing the laughter and feel of the day. When we look at the photos or watch the film we instantly slip straight back into the feelings we had that day.
2. Make sure you get a video of the vows and wedding speeches – it’s so good to watch them back.
3. Don’t go on your honeymoon straight away, spend some days in between your wedding and honeymoon with your friends and family, reminiscing the best day of your lives.
